This was by Dr. Arbuthnot, and came out in four parts, following in quick succession, and each announced with some additional praise by Swift to Stella. The whole was afterwards republished under the name of The History of John Bull. Its object was to belittle the War, and promote the Peace. See Aitken's Arbuthnot, p. 44.
