This may have been a kinsman of Swift's intimate friends, Dr. Robert Freind, of Westminster School, and Dr. John Freind, the physician. But it is more likely to have been a misprint for 'Froud' or 'Frowde,' a literary aspirant introduced by Addison to Swift, and the author of two forgotten tragedies.
