The History Of Colonel Jack
by Daniel Defoe (1722)

This book deals initially with the problem now known as juvenile delinquency. Colonel Jack becomes a trained thief as a child in London, but subsequently turns soldier, plantation-slave, planter and merchant, and he marries four times. The first part of this book contains some of Defoe's very best work.

A Young Thief

The Gang Of Street Boys

Kindness To The Slaves

A Serious Love Affair
