Richard Chenevix Trench
From Anecdotes about 19th Century Authors

Became Archbishop of Dublin in 1864, and retired to London twenty years later. The visit paid to his successor must have been made not long before his death. Of his numerous writings the best known today are on philological subjects; e.g. The Study of Words and English, Past and Present.
