Boileau would have agreed with Addison. Cf. L'Art Poétique, iii. 226 if., where he writes of those happy names that seem to have been born for poetry:
Ulysse, Agamemnon, Oreste, Idoméneé,
Helene, Ménélas, Paris, Hector, Enénée.
Oh! le plaisant projet d'un poece ignorant,
Qui de tant de heros va choisir Childebrand!
