Erik Reger, 'Naturgeschichte des Nationalsozialismus', Vossische Zeitung, 30th August 1931. In the same vein Ludwig Stahl, in an article entitled 'Das Dritte Reich und die Sturmvogel des Nationalsozialismus', Hochland, No. 28, June 1931, wrote:
'With the exception of the National Socialists all German parliamentary parties have a pre-war programme and so they lose the young. For the young perceive that the parties on both left and right would like to confine them within the pre-war social order and that they desire their orientation from bourgeois party principles rather than from the destiny which has already been experienced.'
