Das Reich, 22nd December 1940. Strange to say, Alfred Richer too, in his outrageous book Unsere Fuhrer im Lichte der Rassenfrage und Charakterologie, emphasizes the ability of the Fuhrer's deputy to keep silent:
'In spite of his impulsiveness, he will be very reserved on important questions where it counts, and he knows how to hold his tongue about those things which the public is not yet to know.'
